In the United States, flu season usually occurs in the fall and winter.
Protect yourself from the flu by:
· Washing your hands often
· Avoiding contact with people who are sick
· Staying home when you are sick
· Covering your cough or sneezes with a tissue or sleeve
· Eating healthy and getting plenty of rest
Students have been requesting cough drops for sore throats and coughs.
It is Gretna Public Schools medication policy that all medications to include OTC-cough drops need a medication permission form signed by the parent/guardian and the student’s medication needs to be kept in the health office.
