Mrs. Burns' science classes created chemical reactions in a bag so they could see carbon dioxide being created. It was truly a "blast" as many bags popped from the gas build up!

5th Graders learned about the world renown artist, Dale Chihuly, from Seattle, Washington. Chihuly is known for his organic glass blowing sculptures. The students also took a trip to the Hot Shops Art Center where they observed live glass blowing demonstrations. A few students wrote to the artist. Let's hope we hear back from Mr. Chihuly! Kindergarten created Chihuly's Macchia bowls out of coffee filters and the primary colors!

Fifth Grade was visited by Gifford Farm's traveling indoor planetarium, Star Lab, today. They learned about the life cycle of a star, and then toured the solar system and constellations while inside the planetarium.
