Dear Staff and Families,
With the opening of Giles Creek Middle School in August 2025, the Gretna Public Schools Board of Education has approved updated middle school boundaries to keep class sizes balanced and ensure all students have access to high-quality educational opportunities.
After reviewing enrollment trends and neighborhood growth, the board has finalized new boundaries, which will take effect for the 2025-2026 school year. These updates will help distribute students fairly across our three middle schools and support the long-term success of our district.

Boundary Notifications for Families
By February 28, families with current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students will be able to log into their NebSIS Family account and view a boundary letter indicating which middle school their student will attend this fall.
We understand that boundary changes may affect some families, but please know that our dedication to providing a high-quality education at every school remains the same. We appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to grow and strengthen our district.
Sincerely,
Travis Lightle
