SUMMER SAFETY TIPS

It’s just around the corner: Summer. Time to free ourselves from the four walls that have held us captive and indulge in family vacations and adventure!

Please remind your teen to be safe in their water and boating endeavors this summer. Far too often, we hear of tragedy in regards to drowning or boat/jet ski accidents. Even though they may be avid swimmers, they need to be aware of their limits and always have someone with them.  Here is a good link on Water Safety and other summer safety tips from Nemours TeensHealth.

SUN-KISSED GLOW : Most of us look forward to the sunshine and the golden hue it leaves on our skin...

Our skin is the largest organ (yes, organ) of our body and one of the most underappreciated, but heavily used. Skin is our first line of defense against infection, protecting our amazing nervous and circulatory systems while regulating our body temperature.

This is why it can’t be stressed enough to protect that beautiful organ from UV damage. The human body literally can not survive without it. So, apply that SPF often and show your skin some love!

UP & COMING:

  • TBA later in May: Sophomore Health Screen Days

  • Please remember: New Action Plans, Medication orders, Updated Immunizations & Physicals are all needed by the first day of the 24-25 school year
